Introduction

Howdy and this is another great article that we from Child Development Made Simple found for you. As normal, these articles convey the particular views of the article writer, which might not always reflect the ideas of us at Child Development Made Simple . We hope you find this short article helpful or at least interesting.

“What do you want for Christmas present?” Probably kids will never miss out the chance to clarify the things they want if you ask this question. As a parent, you should identify what your kid’s interests and hobbies before you make your decision on what to buy for them. If you do not have any idea, why not get a doll for your children. In fact, doll play is a part of pretend play that helps to improve your kids’ imagination and take on a role as an adult when they contact with everyday basic objects in the doll house play.

Social Skills + Creating Intimacy

You can instill basic human instinct through doll play by caring, nurturing and feeding activities. Children can practice their language and social skills including sharing, cooperation, helping, and problem solving. Doll play brings all their warmth, empathy and the ability to give care to others helps you to raise your child to become a more caring adult in the future. According to the child development psychologists Dorothy and Jerome Singer of Yale University note, “Early opportunity to play with doll provides children the chance of practicing the vital human capacity for nurturance and selflessly to others.

Imagination and Creativity

Doll play promotes self-reliance by encouraging children to use their imagination and creativity. Kids will make up the doll as an actor in the play. As they age, you will start notice that they are using doll to create a real life scenario base on adult’s life styles. Doll play is important in helping children explore on how to grow up and take on the role as the future adult. You will be able to see their improvement in creativity and problem solving skills during the play. Currently there are varieties of doll play themes which are available for sales such as doll in army costumes, doll in rainforest, Eskimo, Native population and other world cultures, which they can portray different story base on their imagination and creativity in the play.

Emotional development

In addition to the fun and joy brings to children, doll play also serves beneficial developmental purposes by allowing children to work out their emotions in a safe context. According to Hallie Speranza, who teaches at the Priscilla Pond Flawn Child and Family Laboratory, the University of Texas at Austin, says doll play can be therapeutic. Scolding their baby doll or stuffed animal allows your children work out and release their feelings or tension without involving other kids.

Dolls for Babies

It is recommended to choose dolls that are soft and cuddly yet washable and sturdy for babies. Babies love to put everything into their little drippy mouths; you might need to wash at least every day or two to make sure the cleanliness of the dolls. Before giving a doll to baby, make sure that there is no small part of the dolls that can be removed or fall off easily. For children age 3 to 5 year old and up, they prefer to own dolls with movable hands and legs in different position.

Tips on storage

Most of the dolls and doll house play is made of vinyl, flexible plastic as well as rubber. It is important for you to store in places where toys do not expose to direct sunlight. If you plan to place it near to the window, make sure that it is protected from exposure to sunlight. You can pack the doll and doll play furniture separately in paper to avoid touching with one another. After each play, clean up if necessary before you put back to the storage.

Every child has their own interest and strength to learn in an optimal way on what they experience in their daily life. Doll play is a fun and also one of the favorite toys especially for girls. Getting a doll with complete set of doll house play is always a great choice for children.

Eczema causes in children are related to different factors and theories arise explaining the real cause behind the condition. But what is eczema? Eczema is an inflammation of the skin or the epidermis, the outermost layer of the skin. it appears as a red patch in the skin and sometimes it is accompanied by swelling, bleeding ant itchiness. The itchiness is the main reason why sometimes the condition aggravates. Scratching the itch further causes inflammation. But as the title of the article suggests, let me discuss further the eczema causes in children.

Research and medical geeks who have spent their lives trying to search for the explanation behind the eczema causes have failed to do so. But still, survey and research seem to support that the majority of cases have encountered these “factors” that lead them to the development of eczema. One of the reasons is the immune capability of the person. Eczema in children have been found that the immune system releases an allergic chemical or anti histamines in the blood in response to allergens in the environment. These allergens come from chemical compounds that we usually use like soaps, cosmetics and even detergents.

Environmental hazards like the minute dust mites have become the suspect for eczema causes in children.

Foods, like eggs, fish, shrimp, nuts wheat and salt the experts argue, are theorized to be the triggering ingredients of eczema. alterations in the weather or the temperature like sudden drop of centigrades or the travel to a land with hot temperatures may lead to eczema. Psychological factors like stress and extremes of emotions are known to trigger eczema in children.

Eczema causes in children remains up to this very moment as a medical mystery but knowing the suspected causes of this disease will help you and your child greatly on how to evade the itchy condition.

Play is critical in helping children develop both mental and physical skills, and toys are an ideal way we encourage them to express their creativity. Unfortunately, many of today’s toys do not promote the same level of creativity and exercise that the classics of yesteryear provided. If you are concerned that your child is not learning all that they should, then consider adding a few old-time toys to their collection. Not only will you help them develop more, but you will be able to relive those moments of simple happiness as your own children enjoy playing with those same toys that were your favorites so many years ago.

Roller skates, baseball bats, bicycles, and hula hoops are just a few of the great classic toys to enjoy outside. Due to their everlasting entertainment value, most of these toys never really faded from the market. However, many parents view toys from the past as less safe than toys of today or simply not as cool as modern toys. Considering those parents probably enjoyed those same toys as a child, these opinions are peculiar to say the least.

The all-steel pedal car is one of the vintage toys that has received a modern market resurrection. Its reappearance in the market is largely due to its simple, durable , and enchanting design that made it so popular in the first place. In fact, little has changed with the design of the car’s 1960 body, with the primary difference being the addition of a few safety features. Kids can enjoy the same freedom and excitement of pedaling around in their own miniature car as their parent probably enjoyed as a child.

For toys to enjoy inside, consider a set of Lego for your child. Lego has tailored their line for girls and boys alike to enjoy various building possibilities, including sets that will make luxury homes or palaces. However, even simpler versions of building block, such as the wooden building block, can still bestow a wealth of imagination and creativity. With so many technologically advanced toys on the market today, parents can forget that children will use virtually anything for play.

Wooden play objects are another classic toy that can never go out of style. Unfortunately, most parents do not realize that wooden toys are still popular and, even further, that they are still available for purchase. Many Internet stores sell a variety of wooden toys, including building blocks, rocking horses, and doll houses. As enjoyable as those toys were years ago, there is little reason to think that kids of today would not enjoy them just as well. As years pass, there is no doubt that the list of “classic toys” will continue to grow, as more durable and loved toys enter the market. However, the toys above have surely earned their place on the list, after being loved by children for many generations.

Howdy and this is an excellent post we at Child Development Made Simple have found for you.

Nowadays, more and more toys companies produce electronic toys, It’s because electronics toys have very big market. Manufacturers say they need to create more compelling electronic toys as children become more sophisticated and have more choices when it comes to playing and entertaining themselves, from video games to consumer electronics gadgets like digital music players and cell phones. But are these really good enough for our children development?

Electronic toys are doing to the children and their educational development today, it is important that we look at how these things can be change but one thing that electronic toys usually requires very little movement, besides electronic toys and games is that they require little imagination. While they may help teach your child the alphabet, numbers or shapes, they do little to encourage him to think creatively. There are toys that can accomplish both objectives.

Side by side, two electronic toys may appear to be quite similar. Both may light up, make sounds, be about the same size, but one may be far superior to the other. A toy that does not offer interactive features will soon be nothing more than litter at the bottom of your child’s toy box.

Electronic toys tend to have shorter lives than their non-electronic counterparts. Many non-electronic toys are also appropriate for a wide range of ages. The blocks and balls that your child played with as a toddler can still provide him with hours of fun after he starts to school.

Toys were now competing against technology, fashion and music goods and older children were turning away increasingly from general toys.

Actually electronic toys are examples of toys that can complement or supplement other play activities, while often stimulating and fun, these toys should never become a substitute for traditional play activities. In this situation parents should know what toys and what kind of activities that the best for their children. So do not let the children steadily shifting away from traditional toys at an earlier age in favour of technologically interactive games such as PlayStation. Traditional toys invite children to take control of playtime. Instead of following exact instructions or choosing one correct answer, a child can explore a variety of possibilities and investigate each one. Electronic toys may offer several different activities, but there is only one way to play.

There was a time when electronic toys and games were just toys, but today these toys can educate as well as entertain. It is true that some of these products are simply for entertainment, but more and more companies are adding some type of educational value to most of their products. Again, parents must know what is the best for the children because there are many variety of toys in the shop that offer many things, besides, the cost of electronic toys and games can vary greatly, from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars.

Wina Media is a mother with two sons and full time internet marketer spesialized in toys. I used to work in a toys company. The Experience of working in the toys of company made me realize that toys is something important for developing of the children and I want to share that toy is not only the thing that make the children happy, parents should know which is good or bad, safe or unsafe. I do hope you can get much valuable information from this article and let’s enjoy to see our children play happy and safely….

Let’s get one factor straight, shopping for your child a toy cash register does not mean they are never going to be anything but a cashier! If your child takes an appeal in managing money, who knows, you might have the next Steve Forbes on your hands. Wherever a kid’s interests take them, it’s positive encouragement that can help them take it to the top, regardless of what that interest is. It is that encouragement that grows an interest into a passion, and a passion into a lasting goal.

A seemingly realistic function-wise operating cash register is integrated with a solar-powered calculator that may accommodate real-size dollar bills The bigger than traditional sized buttons and a giant number display makes it appropriate for various levels of academic learning ability. The toy comes with plastic coins, play bills, make believe credit cards and other accessories

Electronic Maths Toys – Your child can be introduced to the world of arithmetic with these toys. There are toy cash registers whereby the kid will learn numbers, counting, addition, subtraction and more. This type comes with toy cash, credit cards, built-in scanner and coins. With the lights and sounds made at each transaction, there’s no way your kid will not fancy the training expertise this provides.

To please each parent and child, look around for nice toddler books. Books created particularly for toddlers are usually ones created from thick cardboard. They may have pop-up characters, animals with fur that children will pet, and flowers with a scratch-and-sniff scent. It is important for parents to read to their kids to introduce them to language and ideas, and conjointly to instill a sense that reading and learning are important. Books additionally provide great bonding moments between parents and children.

In addition to an assortment of wooden toys that promote creative play, you’ll help offer a variety of pre-reading and pre-writing skills by providing her with heaps of books, as well as writing utensils and one thing to put in writing on. Helping your kid develop their adding skills is as simple as providing them a shopping cart and cash register, while they are playing like they are shopping they can be using addition to calculate their items.

Theme sets offer a imaginary setting for real-world situations like grocery store cash registers, ATM machines, play food sets, and play doctor sets. Theme sets help children to perceive the world around them and motivate them to learn more about these real-world encounters.

The best things for imaginary play are those objects your child views each day in their ordinary interaction. There are many picket toys available for creative play, you can notice miniature play sets like farms and forests, dollhouses, and kitchen appliances. Wooden toys provide widely varied options, from rocking horses to wheeled toys, that will offer hours of fun. Wooden toys are harmless and much more durable than plastic, meaning your kid will enjoy hours of development with acceptable play.

Introduction

The digestive system of an infant is not completely developed and is a very fragile one. Even slight modification in the diet of the infant can cause serious damage to the system of the infant. Mother’s milk is no doubt the best diet for the infant. But as the child grows, supplements and change of diet will be required. In this passage we describe about artificial diet to the infant.

Cows Milk and Water:

In cases where the mother’s milk is not available fresh cow’s milk mixed in as 2:1 the common ratio, can be given with little sugar in it. It is to be noted that cow’s milk should not be processed or boiled. It should be fresh and should not be stored at any point of time. It is the best meal that can be given to the infant in summer times. The water that is added can be boiled but not the milk used. When the infant grows older the ratio can be changed from 2:1 to 3:1, with no other change.

The milk can be given with a spoon or a feeding bottle. The digestion process takes place effectively only when the food is mixed with the saliva properly. Upon feeding with spoon mixing with saliva may not be achieved as per the requirement so usage of feeding bottle is preferred as it also gives the child the opportunity to suck at its own pace.

Solid Food Makes The Child Healthier – Misconception:

It a common misconception among many mothers that giving solid or semi solid food at the earliest will make the child stronger. Up to the age of six months milk is the best food that can be given, after which mashed fruits and vegetables can be added. Some mothers try giving crushed biscuits as a thick gruel. It is very dangerous to the infant’s digestive system, as it has high solid content it will cause severe indigestion and irritation leading to severe pain for the child. It will then lead to the usage of medicines like narcotics, cordials and antispasmodics that will finally cause the weakening of the entire system of the child.

Many mothers have another misconception that the child requires a variety of food for growth. But science says otherwise. Until the child is fully developed the digestive system of the child is designed in such a way that it can take nutrition from the milk only. So the next important of problem of over feeding the child in the pretext of giving a variety of food, has to be avoided. Over feeding may cause very severe damage to the child’s health leading to complications like irritation in bowels, indigestion, as well as nervous irritation.

Timing and Quantum of Diet:

The time interval of feeding the child is of at most importance. A time schedule for diet has to be prepared and followed regularly. The child should be fed with small amounts of food at regular intervals. The organs of digestion of the child are designed to digest food and not medicines.

The timing between each meal should be designed such that there is enough time for digestion. Only after complete digestion of the previous meal the next meal has to be given. The infant will produce signs of hunger as soon as the previous meal been digested. If the meal is given before complete digestion of the previous meal it will cause the undigested food to move down to the intestine, where fermentation of the undigested food will occur and will produce unwanted gas. Sometimes this gas may come up in the digestive tract causing severe irritation to the child, thus making the feed given a total waste.

Posture of Feeding:

The child should not be fed in a lying down position as the food will not enter the digestive tract properly. The best position is the have the child in a raised resting position, with the child’s back on the support of the mother’s hands. After the food is given the posture has to be maintained for at least 30 minutes, aiding the process of ingestion.

Diet for Growing Child:

Before the dentition of the infant grows solid should be avoided. For digestion of solid food (plant or animal source) proper chewing and mixing up with saliva is required. When a child without dentition is fed with solid food it will cause indigestion and irritability to the child.

Once the child develops dentition boiled and smashed vegetables or smashed solid food can be fed with milk. This stage is best for practicing to feed the child with a spoon. As more teeth appear, half boiled eggs and cereal pudding is also encouraged. Animal food can be neglected as the digestive coordination is not found to digest it.

All kids misbehave some times, but behavior disorders go beyond mischief and rebellion. With behavior disorders, your child or teen has a pattern of hostile, aggressive or disruptive behaviors for more than 6 months. Normal behavior in children depends on the child’s age, personality, and physical and emotional development. A child’s behavior may be a problem if it doesn’t match the expectations of the family or if it is disruptive. If you see signs of a problem, ask for help. Poor choices can become habits. Kids who have behavior problems are at higher risk for school failure, mental health problems and even suicide. Classes or family therapy may help parents learn to set and enforce limits.

From the different studies carried out by experts on child psychiatry, two important strategies for studying development include the longitudinal study in which a particular group of children is studied over a long period of time, sometimes from infancy through adulthood. The second method, which is more popular because it is less expensive, is called the cross-sectional method. In this strategy a group of children or adolescents at a particular age are studied at that age. In order to compare different ages, different samples would be studied but no group would be studied over time.

Parents may choose to use physical punishment (such as spanking) to stop undesirable behavior. The biggest drawback to this method is that although the punishment stops the bad behavior for a while, it doesn’t teach your child to change his or her behavior. Disciplining your child is really just teaching him or her to choose good behaviors.

Questions to ask while studying child behaviour and psychiatry

Have there been any abrupt changes in his life? A move or something like that?

Ask him first to find out the reason behind the anger, talk to the teacher and ask if there is anything you and she can do together to help your son find some different outlets for his anger. Anger many times stems from underlying issues that he may be afraid to talk about.

How are his grades, how is his attention span? What is he like at home? Is he open and friendly with everyone, or has he isolated himself from others as well as being angry? There are alot of other changes that can occur that will give you clues as to wether or not it something serious.

Has his eating habits changed? Do you and your wife belong to any of the learning disabilities associations? There are parent support groups for kids of various ages, maybe you need to talk with parents who have gone through this with their teens and they have some stratagies they can offer.

Perhaps you need to go with him and talk to his pediatrician or family doctor about the pills and why he’s hiding them or not taking them. Maybe they have an adverse effect on him that only he’s aware of.

Next maybe he needs to repeat the grade he’s in. Holding kids back when they’re in this kind of emotional upset may be in the long run beneficial to him. Explain it like a ball player being sent to the minors to hone his skills more, then he can come back to the big leagues.

Rewarding child when they do something good

Ask the child to do a task. Set a timer. If the task is done before the timer rings, your child gets a reward.

Write a short list of good behaviors on a chart and mark the chart with a star each time you see the good behavior. After your child has earned a small number of stars (depending on the child’s age), give him or her a reward.

In a short time (about an hour) put a mark on a chart or on your child’s hand each time you see him or her performing a good behavior. For example, if you see your child playing quietly, solving a problem without fighting, picking up toys or reading a book, you would mark the chart. After a certain number of marks, give your child a reward.

Ask your child to play quietly alone or with a sibling for a short time (maybe 30 minutes). Check on your child frequently (every 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the child’s age) and give a reward or a token for each few minutes they were quiet or playing well.

Training And Development In Today’s Competitive World

All of us know that training is vital for an organisation to develop the employee.when a child is born he requires constant touch of parents till he Stands on his own feet.An organisation though flowered by creams of the society ,still training is required due to rapid technological upgradation and change in working methods everyday.

Continued self development-Training aims at continued self-development of the employees.Employees are expected to develop themselves continuosly in an organisation. When the employees in an organisation are developed from time to time with all updated knowledge, then definitely that organisation will grow to a greater height.

Self-effort-Each employee has the ability to develop self by self.A well planned self effort is required on the part of every employee to develop themselves by gaining knowledge all the time about their organisation. They should evaluate their performance by themselves and should know where they are in the organization. All of us know that training is required for development of not only an employee, but also that of an organisation.. By self effort employee can train themselves in an efficient manner. When food is there on the dining table no one should tell us how to eat.By self effort employees can not only change themselves, but also can create a better picture of the organisation.

Vigilance while on the job-An employee should be vigilant while on the job.now-a-days so many frauds are taking place, especially in financial institutions by making fradulent transactions. The employee should equip himself about the frauds taking palce by knowing the details of the same and know the delicate areas in which this can take place. He should have sufficient knowledge about the happenings of fraud and should be intelligent enough to grasp the modus operandi of thefraud.Fraud is happening due to the negligence of the employee while on work.So the employee should keep himself all the tine alert on the work front and should have a total mastery over all the aspects of his work. For this it is advised that he should develop self-mastery.

Learning while doing-This is a very best method,by which employee can learn so many things and make himself a master in all areas of his work.In today’s computer age an employee should not do the work mechanically, but should know how the work is being carried out.while performing a task. In the computer employee comes across various steps and sometines faces difficulties, which he can solve by himself. While completing a task an employee should apply his own imagination and should know all the aspects,by that he can be a creative worker and his performance will be much better. Here we remember Aeinstein, who just applied his imagination and intution and was able to shake the world by discovering the theory of relativity.

Off the job activities-Off the job activities are very important on the part of the employee, which will give him a boost for the next day’s work. After retiring from the day’s job an employee should utilise his time in a fruitful way.He can do the things of his own interest, which will boost his body, mind and intellect. There number of things ,which he can do.He can paricipate in discussions with friends regarding his organisation, participate in seminars, spend time in house with children and wife and can educate them about various aspects of life, which will benefit him also.He can give time to visit beautiful spots of his liking with his family and friends at every week end.If he is a spiritual person he can visit a temple and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the temple ,there by forgetting day’s tiredness and any mental anguish felt in the organisation.

Training needs according to age-Training needs vary from age to age.In my opinion older people require less training on Hrd than younger people, because old people are matured enough to handle people than younger people,on the other hand old people require more training on advanced technology to make their works at par with the younger workers.so suitable training methodology should be devised according to age.

Health awareness-Employees should be given training on how to keep their health in good condition, how to keep themselves fit both physically and mantally and how to overcome stress, anxiety etc arising due to the work pressure. They should be given training on yoga and should be guided by the selfhelp experts, which can keep them happy and conteded through out the day.Health is wealth.Once health is lost an employee’s condition becomes miserable,While expecting maximum from the employee in terms of out put,no organisation has the right to neglect this aspect of the employee..

Management and employees relationship-There should be training by spiritual experts and Bishops regarding the upkeep of the management and employees relationship All the time.management should be constantly reminded that it can not impose every thing on the employees without taking care of their needs and expect maximum from them,by that employees management realationship will be in a jeopardy. Both employers and employees should be given training on all aspects of human being,so that a harmonious environment will be created in the organisation and organisation will go to a greater height.

Training aims at all round development of the employees and methods are divised continuosly to make the employee sound in all aspects, which is not only important in work palce, but also in society.By taking full advantage of the training programmes an employee can be an outstanding worker,by which he can contribute more to the organisation and can develop on the organisational ladder. His quality of work will be recognised by all and he will feel satisfied all the time and in home front also he can keep good relations with all the family members.

At many points in life, you may face the possibility of getting toys for a small child, in the age group 2-4 years old. What do you do in such a case if you have no idea? The idea is to play safe. Toys should be safe for such a small child. Go for reputable companies because they are more likely to take care that the toys are made of non-toxic substances. Unnamed chinese brands contained a high amount of toxic chemicals which could be harmful to a child. This was found out in USA some months back. Fisher Price, Mattel, Toys R Us are some reputed toy stores and manufacturers.

What should you buy? Buy toys that will help the child learn and play at the same time. Building blocks which are large in size will be loved by small children as they have to apply their imagination to make different things looking at pictures supplied along with the blocks. If the child is a small girl, you could purchase a kitchen set which has items of larger size so that no child accidentally swallows anything. Go for cars of larger sizes for little boys. There are toys which will help the child learn numbers and alphabets and also play at the same time. They can also learn about shapes and colors with toys. Toys also help a child develop its mind by engaging the mind in different activities of thinking, designing, learning, playing at the same time.

There are games of rings of different sizes which help a child learn about numbers and relative sizes of objects. There are toys of interconnecting beads which can be connected to make objects of different types and sizes. All of these engage a child’s mind in a positive sense and entertain the child along with learning. So the next time, you want to purchase a toy for a very small child, keep this article in mind.
